It is also a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial growing 12” – 18” with leaves more resembling Icelandic-style poppies. Lemony-yellow flowers rise above the foliage, they seed well in addition to expanding clumps. Prefers partial shade, good soil but will also grow in sun. good drainage in either location. Freely self-seeds. With sufficient moisture, foliage may remain attractive throughout the growing season. If foliage depreciates in summer, cut back hard to promote new growth. Suitable for borders, naturalized areas, meadows, damp spots in rock gardens. Perennial.
