One of our most ubiquitous native plants. If you are investing in restoration, bird or bear berry food, or medicinal garden, this is your plant. Get started early! Grows best as an under-story plant, or on edges of thickets, prefers moist yet draining soil. Mature plants can grow stalks up to 8’ tall. Wide leaves shade dainty native wildflowers. Perennial.
